Who We Are
Deflock Corona is a volunteer-run civic coalition based in Corona, California. We operate this website at deflock-corona.org as a public information resource. We are not a business, not a law firm, and not a political party. Contact us at info@deflock-corona.org.
What We Collect
We collect the minimum necessary to operate this site:
- Email address — only if you contact us directly at info@deflock-corona.org or brett@deflock-corona.org. We use Zoho Mail. We do not add you to any list without your explicit consent.
- Basic server logs — our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) and CDN/DNS provider (Cloudflare) automatically log IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We do not access these logs for marketing purposes. Cloudflare's privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We do not collect:
- Names, phone numbers, or home addresses (unless you volunteer them in an email)
- Payment information of any kind
- Location data beyond what standard server logs capture
- Any data from children — this site is not directed at anyone under 18
Cookies & Tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking pixels, or third-party analytics platforms like Google Analytics. We do not build profiles of visitors. We do not use remarketing or retargeting.
Cloudflare may set a security cookie (__cf_bm) to distinguish
humans from bots. This is a functional cookie required for site security and
does not track your behavior across websites.
Third-Party Services
This site embeds or links to the following third-party services:
- YouTube — we embed one video on our homepage. YouTube may set cookies if you interact with it. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com.
- Google Fonts — we load fonts from Google's CDN. Google may log your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- Nextdoor — we link to our community group. Nextdoor has its own privacy policy.
- deflock.org — we link to this national coalition's camera map. They operate independently.
We do not control these third parties and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
California Residents — CCPA
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. If you have contacted us by email and want us to delete that correspondence, email us at info@deflock-corona.org and we will do so.
Data Retention
Emails you send us are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry or coordinate coalition activity. We do not maintain a CRM database. Server logs managed by Azure and Cloudflare are retained per their standard policies (typically 30–90 days).
Security
This site is served over HTTPS via Cloudflare. We do not store passwords, payment data, or sensitive personal information. Our email is hosted on Zoho Mail, which provides encryption in transit and at rest.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We are a small volunteer operation — if you have questions, just email us.
